Team to Open Season at Home Against the Phoenix Suns
First Game Televised on ESPN at 9 PM Dallas Time
The Dallas Mavericks will open the 2023-24 NBA season at home against the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday, October 18. The game will be televised on ESPN at 9 PM Dallas time.
The Mavericks will play their first road game of the season on Friday, October 20, against the New Orleans Pelicans. They will then return home to face the Golden State Warriors on Monday, October 23.
The Mavericks will play a total of 41 home games and 41 road games during the regular season. They will finish the season at home against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday, April 10.
The Mavericks are coming off a disappointing season in which they finished 33-49 and missed the playoffs. They are hoping to improve on that record this season with the addition of Kyrie Irving.
Irving is a seven-time All-Star and one of the best point guards in the NBA. He is expected to help the Mavericks compete for a playoff spot this season.
