Early Life and Education

Marine Anne Perrine Marine Le Pen was born on August 5, 1968, in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. She is the daughter of Jean-Marie Le Pen, a far-right politician who founded the National Front party. Marine Le Pen studied law at the University of Paris X Nanterre and graduated in 1991.

Political Career

Le Pen began her political career in the 1990s, working for her father's party. She was elected to the European Parliament in 2004 and has served as its vice-president since 2014. She became president of the National Front in 2011.

Le Pen has been a controversial figure throughout her career. She has been accused of racism, xenophobia, and anti-Semitism. However, she has also been praised for her populist message and her ability to connect with voters.

In 2017, Le Pen ran for president of France. She came in second place in the first round of voting, but lost to Emmanuel Macron in the runoff. She has announced her intention to run for president again in 2022.
