Mike Norvell 'Hopeful' For WR Hykeem Williams To Play

Florida State Football: Latest News, Rumors and Updates

Seminoles Wide Receiver Hykeem Williams Expected to Return Soon

Florida State head coach Mike Norvell is "hopeful" that wide receiver Hykeem Williams will be able to play in the Seminoles' upcoming game against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

Williams has been sidelined with a foot injury since the Seminoles' season-opening win over the Duquesne Dukes.

The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Williams is one of Florida State's most talented wide receivers. He caught 25 passes for 425 yards and three touchdowns last season.

  • Williams' return would be a big boost to the Seminoles' offense, which has struggled to score points in recent weeks.
  • Florida State is 2-3 this season, and the Seminoles are coming off a 31-21 loss to the Louisville Cardinals.
  • The Seminoles will host the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Saturday, October 8th.

Norvell said that Williams is "day-to-day" and that the Seminoles will make a decision on his status closer to game time.

"We're hopeful that he'll be able to go," Norvell said. "He's a big part of our offense, and we need him out there."
